On each side of Gainesville High School there is a creek that flows to Hogtown Creek and eventually into Kanapaha and a sinkhole straight to the aquifer. So, I suggest we get busy keeping the creeks clean. Avoid dirty runoff from garbage cans, parking lots and roadways. As a kid I would play in the creeks and collect sharks teeth, today you probably wouldn’t want your kid to touch the water. Photos from 2014
